StayLock Storage®, a self-storage company headquartered in St. Louis, announced today its acquisition of the Hurricane and Charleston, West Virginia locations of Whirlwind Storage. StayLock Storage is a platform company of Thompson Street Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in St. Louis in partnership with Cequel III, a St. Louis-based management and investment firm. The two Whirlwind Storage locations provide climate controlled and standard self-storage spaces. Terms of the transaction were not announced.
Whirlwind Hurricane and Charleston (www.staylockstorage.com) offer clean, secure facilities featuring a total of 96 HD security cameras monitoring the premises. Both locations offer climate-controlled storage with the Hurricane location featuring a mix of climate-controlled and drive-up storage units with keypad access. Whirlwind Hurricane is located at 100 Self Storage Drive; Whirlwind Charleston at 1352 Hansford Street.
The locations will now be part of the growing “StayLock Storage” brand.
Staylock’s addition of two Whirlwind Storage facilities greatly enhances the Thompson Street platform company’s presence in the northwestern West Virginia area.
