Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), a private equity firm based in St. Louis, announced today that they have completed the sale of Global Software, Inc. (GSI) to Boston-based private equity firm TA Associates. Headquartered in Raleigh, NC, GSI is the leading provider of Microsoft Excel-based automation and reporting software solutions. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
GSI’s flagship software applications, Spreadsheet Server and Atlas, integrate with more than 60 leading ERP platforms, including SAP®, Oracle®, JD Edwards®, Microsoft®, Infor®, Viewpoint®, Ellucian and MRI. These solutions enable users to access operational and financial data across multiple platforms from within an Excel spreadsheet in order to produce dynamic reports with powerful drill-down capabilities. The Company serves more than 4,500 customers and 75,000 users across more than 60 countries in enterprises ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 firms.
During its ownership of GSI, TSCP supported the Company’s growth by expanding the sales force, forming new channel partnerships, improving product performance, optimizing pricing and executing multiple add-on acquisitions that broadened the Company’s product set and geographic reach.
