Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), a private equity firm based in St. Louis, announced today that its portfolio company BioIVT, a leading global provider of research models and value-added research services for drug discovery and development, has acquired Clinical Trials Laboratory Services (CTLS). The London, UK-based donor center and laboratory is a provider of dedicated high-quality serum, plasma and blood collection services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CTLS (www.clintrialslab.com) is a premier outsourcing laboratory facility that provides dedicated services for the procurement of high quality human serum, plasma, blood and blood cells for clinical research in the pharmaceutical, bioanalytical, biotechnology, clinical trials, diagnostic and drug industries. The fluids are used in conjunction with clinical research into various diseases.
Clinical Trials Laboratory Services is a logical add-on for BioIVT with the companies sharing a unique but complementary portion of the same niche.
